SSSE Monthly Lesson Plans
Issue 3 | Suprabhatam
With love and gratitude, we are blessed to share SSSE Lesson Plan – Issue 3, centred on the sacred Suprabhatam, a divine invocation that signifies not merely the dawn of a new day, but the awakening of the Divine within each one of us.
This lesson plan explores the deeper spiritual significance of Suprabhatam, helping our children understand that God is not separate from them, but resides within their own hearts. Through prayer, reflection, storytelling, group activities, and value-based learning, students are guided to recognise their innate divinity and cultivate lives rooted in righteousness.
From the teachings of Suprabhatam, we learn:
• The importance of awakening to our true Divine nature
• The value of Right Conduct through mind and sense control
• The need for discipline, self-awareness, and reflection in daily life
• The significance of purifying our thoughts, words, and actions
• That our body is the temple of God and our heart His sacred abode
Children are encouraged to understand that true awakening is not simply rising from sleep, but awakening the goodness, love, and divinity that already exists within them.
This lesson plan has been thoughtfully designed to support Gurus in delivering structured, engaging, and transformative classes through the integration of the Five Teaching Techniques and Educare principles.
May this offering inspire our students to:
• Purify their thoughts, words, and deeds
• Practise self-discipline and self-control
• Develop love, kindness, and compassion towards all
• Reflect on their actions and make value-based choices
• Experience the Divine presence within themselves
“When our thoughts are pure, our words are kind, and our actions are right, God shines from within us.”
Let us continue to nurture hearts and minds that recognise their inner Divinity and live lives of Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love, and Non-Violence.
With love and gratitude,
