Twenty-four hours of the Divine Name
Global Akhanda Bhajan2026
As the sun sets across the world, voices take up the song, passing it from country to country like a lamp from hand to hand. Join us as South Africa adds its voice to this unbroken offering of love.
Akhanda-bhajan must be as continuous as breathing itself if it is to deserve its name.
The Offering
One unbroken song, sung by the whole world
Every year on the second weekend of November, devotees of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba across the globe unite for the Global Akhanda Bhajan: twenty-four hours of unbroken singing of the Divine Name, offered for peace and harmony in the world.
This year the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council South Africa warmly invites you to join at one of fifteen venues, from Cape Town to Newcastle. Everyone is welcome. Come as you are, and add your voice.
The lamps are lit
On Saturday evening, 14 November, the bhajans begin venue by venue across the country, until all fifteen are singing together.
