TARGET GROUP

SELECTED PREFECTS from Grade 7 pupils in the Primary school in South Africa (30 to 50 Prefects)

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

Day 1 Programme

OVERALL OUTCOMES

  • Providing prefects an opportunity to engage in critical human value themes impacting on their lives, on others and the environment.

  • Create opportunities in understanding and practice of techniques to support their self- empowerment and transformation to become the best prefects and excellent role models.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Understanding Challenges and Difficulties faced by  prefects

  2. Understanding and Practicing Human Values & leadership qualities through the SSSEHV Approach.

  3. Role Playing: Value Based Lessons

  4. Understand the principles and practice of Teamwork.

  5. Understand communication skills for positive interaction.

TOPICS:

  1. Silent sitting

  2. Prayer 

  3. Challenges and difficulties faced by Prefects

  4. The 5 Core Human Values and 83 Sub –Values

  5. Leadership and Team Building

  6. Communication Skills 

Day 2 Programme

OVERALL OUTCOMES

  • Provide learners with an opportunity to engage in critical Value Themes impacting on their lives.

  • Skill them with Self-Empowerment techniques which may be used to competently carry out their duties as Prefects and be Good role models.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Re-enforcing the values through discussion and role plays.

  2. Understand and Experience teamwork through practical activities.

  3. Enable participants to understand and experience how music can positively OR negatively impact on learning and their lives.

  4. Understand how diet, technology and habits impact on the mind, conduct and performance in their lives.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

No registration is required. The school and school Governing body provides a write request for the SSSIESA to conduct the programmes

Day 1 and Day 2   whole school day , 5 and a half hours
