Join us for a sacred 3-day occasion of spirit, where hearts are cleansed and souls are strengthened. The Śrī Gāyatrī Mahāyajñam opens its arms to everyone to share in an atmosphere of peace, devotion and loving connection - whether you are beginning your spiritual journey or have traveled far along the path.

What is a Śrī Gāyatrī Mahāyajñam?

"Mahāyajñam" means a great sacrificial offering, and in this case, it is a powerful collective recitation and worship using the sacred Gāyatrī Mantra. This Yajña (sacrifice) is not limited to the days of 26–28 November 2025; it begins the moment we take a Sankalpam (resolve) to live in a way that prepares and purifies us to see God in everything, including ourselves. From that point, every act — not only towards this Śrī Gāyatrī Mahāyajñam, but in all aspects of life — becomes a love offering from Swami, to Swami, for Swami. What is offered is Swami, and the very act of offering is Swami Himself.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba (Swami) beautifully explains it in the excerpt below:

“Yajñas and Yagas, acts of charity and virtue, penances and ceremonial rituals are all designed to promote purity of heart. Purity of mind promotes purity of heart. Purity of mind is achieved by association with noble personages and studying the writings of saintly persons. “Cittasya Śuddhaye Karmātman”—the purpose of doing karmas (ordained duties) is to purify the consciousness. Purity of consciousness leads to the realisation of the Self.” - Divine Discourse, Oct 06, 1986

These Yajñas and Yāgas are offered to invoke the Divine’s grace for the peace and well-being of the universe. They also remind us to give back to God what He has given us — not as a loss or sacrifice, but as a heartfelt act of love, gratitude, and joy.

In today’s world, we see disharmony everywhere — from the struggles within an individual, to conflicts within homes, communities, nations, and across the globe. Yet, all of this begins with us — with the state of our mind, emotions, and spirit. When we purify ourselves and begin to see the divinity in all beings — both seen and unseen — the world around us begins to transform.

The Gāyatrī Mantra radiates pure, positive vibrations that uplift the chanter, all beings, and everything it touches. This is the essence of the Śrī Gāyatrī Mahāyajñam — to unite in sacred intention, purify our inner and outer worlds, and let divine vibrations ripple out to bring harmony to all creation (Loka Kalyāṇam).
